What Kind of life are we living

Your worst life
Many are living a nightmare existence feeling defeated and desperate. Addicted to vices and ashamed

Your average life.
Most people are living an average life. Just making it. Struggling to survive, content to exist rather than excel.

Your best life
Some refuse to accept what life gives them and push through to success
.

John 10:10 the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. Niv

The Story Of Joseph.

(Briefly remind the people how Joseph was favored by His father, despised by His brothers and sold into slavery. He resisted temptation in Potiphar house, But through into prison. In prison he rose to the top and through interpreting dreams was brought before pharaoh)

Gen 37:3-4  Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colors.  (4)  And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

(1)       Life in the Pit (Protection in the pit)

Man sees oppression God reveals opportunity
(a) Man Rejects yet God Connects

Gen 37:23-25  And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stripped Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colors that was on him;  (24)  And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it.  (25)  And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmaelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt.

If you have been rejected get ready to be connected.

The Right Place at the right time.

Gen 37:25 a company of Ishmaelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt.

Any one could have passed by but God made sure it was the right people and that no harm came to him.

Rom 8:27-28  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.  (28)  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

He didn't get you in to it. But He can get you out of it,

I'm a Christian Get Me out of here

The process of getting through your situation

God's got everything under control.

Rom 8:35-37  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  (36)  As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  (37)  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

We are killed all the day long;         The struggles of life

Whatever you're in:              You can rejoice because there is hope.

(2) Success in the house (promotion at Potiphar's)
(a)       Man Persecutes yet God Promotes

Gen 39:1-5  And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmaelites, which had brought him down thither.  (2)  And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.  (3)  And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.  (4)  And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.  (5)  And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.

Your best life will bring the blessing of God.

Your best life is life will honor God.

Psa 37:3-5  Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.  (4)  Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  (5)  Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

do good
Dwell= Stability=Fed

Delight thyself also in the LORD;
Desires of your heart

Commit thy way unto the LORD;
Decided
when God
decides it will be done

Don't find your worth from Man but from God.

 Joseph through in prison

 Don't be offended

Pro 18:19  A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.

Pro 16:32  He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit is better than he who takes a city.

Pro 25:28  He who has no rule over his own spirit is like a broken down city without a wall.

(1) Life in the Pit

(2) Success in the house

(3) Prosperity in the prison (Prosperity in the prison)

(a) Man forgets but God Favors

You are favored by God.

Gen 39:21-23  But Jehovah was with Joseph, and showed him mercy, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.  (22)  And the keeper of the prison gave all the prisoners in the prison into Joseph's hand. And whatever they did there, he was the doer of it.  (23)  The keeper of the prison did not look to anything under his hand, because Jehovah was with him; and whatever he did, Jehovah made it to prosper.

You will succeed because you are a success.

Gen 40:23  Yet the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph, but forgot him.

Everything's Going wrong?
Speak the answer
Think the answer
Live the answer

Rom 8:31  What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Your surroundings must not dictate your success.

Psa 27:1-5  A Psalm of David. Jehovah is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?  (2)  When the wicked, my enemies and my foes, came on me to eat my flesh, they stumbled and fell.  (3)  Though an army should camp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise against me, in this I am trusting.  (4)  One thing I have desired from Jehovah, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of Jehovah, and to pray in His temple.  (5)  For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His shelter, in the secrecy of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me up on a rock.

Psa 56:11  In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid of what man can do to me.

See yourself FREE

You cannot be defeated if you will not quit.

(1) Life in the Pit

(2) Success in the house

(3) Prosperity in the prison

(4) Promotion in the palace (Power in the palace)

(a) Man imprisons but God liberates

Do things my way or not at all                 Control & manipulation.

Joh 8:36  If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Man thinks he can break you

Gen 41:41-43  And Pharaoh said to Joseph, See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.  (42)  And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand. And he dressed him with fine linen robes, and put a gold chain around his neck.  (43)  And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had, and they cried before him, Bow the knee! And he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.

Pro 4:18  But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more to the perfect day.

Your day is coming

Your equal to anyone

Don't be intimidated be inspired,

[Dt 28:9] The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways. [10] Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you. [11] The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity-in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground-in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you.

[12] The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.

13 The LORD will make you the  head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

Your best life will be filled with the goodness of God.
