Read Luke 15:11-24

(1)     He was waiting

(2)     He was compassionate

(3)     He restored.

The Father restored to his son all that was lost.

Luk 15:21  And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

Luk 15:22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, (Chief, first of all, Former)  and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:

(a)     Put the Robe on him

(This robe was the robe of son ship for formal occasions, celebrations and times of honour.)

Put the Robe on him         

He didn’t have a choice.

If this young man wanted to stay in his fathers house then he would have to wear what the father placed on him.

 
But I’m not clean. The father did not clean him before he clothed him.

Just returning to the father made him worthy to wear the clothes.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

God has made you clean

Isa 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

You have great reason to rejoice. God has made you holy, clean, and righteous.

Isa 51:11Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

 
You have obtained gladness and Joy.  THEY are YOURS.

You may not feel like it but in the heavenly realm you have gladness and joy. You just need to walk in it by faith

(b) Put a ring on his hand,

 
The ring bore the family crest. It was used for authority for financial commitments and covenants.

We are sealed with the spirit

Eph 1:11-14  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

(12)  That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

(13)  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,

(14)  Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

 
The Prodigal hade squandered his inheritance yet now the father gives him another portion.

With the ring the Father is saying whatever you declare I will stand with you.

Mat 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Heaven will back your words

Only Son’s can move in this kind of Authority. Until you realize you are a child of God you can never move in the Authority that God says you have.

How can we know that we are Son’s of God?

Shoes speak of son ship

Luk 15:21  And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

 He condemned himself the father stopped him right there.

 Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

 Salvation is a bigger miracle than you have ever believed.

You weren’t just forgiven you where RESTORED.

Rom 8:1-6 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

(2)  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

(3)  For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

(4)  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

(5)  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

(6)  For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

How can we be led by the Spirit?

Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

The world is not looking for good people.

It is not looking for religious people.

The world needs Son’s of God.

People, who look, act and speak like their heavenly father.

Slaves wore no shoes

You could tell a slave by the way he walked

How are you walking in life?

 You are not a slave                           You’re a SON,

1Jo 3:1-2 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

(2)  Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

What kind of love is this, consider with the group God’s great love

The Fathers Heart

 (1) He was waiting

 (2) He was compassionate

      (3) He restored.

      (4) He celebrated

Luke 15:23-25  And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; 24 for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' And they began to be merry.

God is not boring

God has emotions and feeling he knows how to rejoice.

Zep 3:17 The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

Imagine God Singing WOW

Psa 37:13 Jehovah laughs at him; for He sees that his day is coming.

Psa 68:3 When the righteous see God in action they'll laugh, they'll sing, they'll laugh and sing for joy. Message

The Father of the prodigal rejoiced to be able to generous to his son again

Deu 30:9 And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:

God wants you blessed

Psa 35:27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

Confession

 God Is my Father, He sees my potential. I am convinced he loves me. I will live like His child.
